Grabbed Le Loup's new album, "Family", which only got a 6.0 from Pitchfork, by I've been a fan of them since before I knew who Animal Collective was - so I can't agree with the review.
Also found this free album from "The Slew" which reminds me of the beats/melodies from Beastie Boys, Check Your Head. (found on booooooom.com).

It's not really new to me, having been reading all too much Micahel Pollan lately, but I'm really glad that this article on tainted beef and the toxicity of factory farming made the front page of the NYT this weekend:
